User authentication is the first line of defense to prevent unauthorized access to the smartphone. Description: On-demand ride services and the rideshare infrastructure primarily focus on the minimization of travel time and cost. In this paper, we present a novel motion-based unobtrusive behavioral biometric-based user authentication solution-SnapAuth, for Android-based smartwatch. Hence, actually designing and testing new behavioral authentication methods that aim at lowering potential security risks due to human behavior while user uses it. More specifically, most publicly available frameworks did not discuss or explore any other evaluation criterion, usability and environment-related measures except the accuracy under zero-effort. This paper proposes DriverAuth-a novel risk-based multi-modal biometric-based authentication solution, to make the on-demand ride and ride-sharing services safer and more secure for riders. However, the reliability of drivers have emerged as a critical problem, and as a consequence, issues related to riders safety and security have started surfacing.
